5 steps to building your DREAM Insta community that’s gonna give you nothin’ but HOT LEADS!!

We’re all constantly told that building a solid community on Instagram is the key to securing sales.

But the HOW is always a bit hazy…

First and foremost, it’s far better to have a smaller, saturated community of passionate followers than a hefty one with thousands of detached eyes.

A soaring follower count means nothing if your engagement is on the floor.

So if you’re looking to scale your business, have a read of our tips for building the captive community of your dreams ✨

🤖 Delete obvious BOT or irrelevant accounts

As painful as it might seem, you’ll be doing yourself a favour. Trust us. They’ll likely give you nothing but cold leads and are only following you in the hope that you’ll follow back and bump up their own follower count. So be brutal and CUT THEM OUT ✂️

📈 Check engagement rates

You can’t ignore em’. As much as you might’ve LOVED a post, if it flopped miserably, don’t make the same mistake twice. Look out for the formats that get the most engagement, whether that’s trending audio reels or carousels with short snappy value, and integrate them into your social strategy.

🎁 Drop the Giveaways

You’ll only be attracting transient followers with little interest in your niche, who are simply there for a quick freebie. Don’t sell yourself short! Only offer freebies or discounts that will have a meaningful impact on your long-term growth.

📬 Send out a welcome message early

Strike while the iron’s hot and interact with a new follower. Building rapport and showing you genuinely care about their interest in you is great for building brand integrity. You’ll wanna keep the DM short and personalise it to avoid sounding like another spammy account! Try complimenting them or starting a discussion from one of their recent posts.

💬 Reply to comments

Another key way to engage with followers genuinely interested in your niche is by replying to their comments. A couple of emojis aren’t gonna be an adequate response on this one. Take a minute to think of an authentic, insightful answer to get the ball rolling, and return the favour by commenting on one of their recent posts.
